Audrey Roncigli
Born in France, 1984, Audrey Roncigli began violin studies at the age of 5, and takes courses in musicology, chamber music and composition. After a long collaboration with several orchestras, she now devotes herself to the repertoire of violin duets (Mozart, Pleyel, Bartók, ...), through "Different-Ensemble", which she founded in 2006. Audrey is involved in creating and broadcasting works of german contemporary composers, such as Detlev Glanert, Peter Schenkmann, ... Audrey has studied at the "preparatoring class Hypokhâgne / Khâgne", Lycée Henri Poincaré (Nancy, France). She follow a course in Cultural Studies at the University of Nancy II. In 2006, she defends her master thesis on the theme of "Musician under the IIIrd Reich; the examples of Herbert von Karajan and Wilhelm Furtwängler". Membre of the French Wilhelm Furtwängler Society since 2006; Audrey has translated many texts, of or about WIlhelm Furtwängler, from German to French. In 2007, she defends a complementary master thesis, under the direction of Professor Didier Francfort, on the 'Furtwängler Case" and its new inherent research prospects. Audrey was awarded the mark of 19/20 last may for her master thesis. The purpose of her study was first to give an attempt of an History of the "Furtwängler Case", and then to explore new archive sources concerning Furtwängler relationships with the Resistance to Hitler, detailed repertoire statistics compared with the artistic doctrine of the Nazi regime, or comparative listening and politic interpretations of war recordings. Audrey is writing a doctoral thesis about "Leonard Bernstein, figure of cultural go-between". Audrey writes in the music pages of Resmusica.com, and has been a speaker in many lectures, concerning Berg's Wozzeck, Mozart's Don Giovanni, Leonard Bernstein, or Yehudi Menuhin. In september 2007, Audrey gives a lecture on "Violin playing and being Jewish" during the 'Days of Jewish Culture" in Nancy, guested by Mister Le Poultier, Head of Nancy-Universités. © 2007
